One of the less pleasant things parents of babies can experience is colic. Hours and hours of crying for no obvious reason. The causes of colic are still relatively unknown, but one way to avoid colic is to use anti-colic bottles when feeding the baby instead of regular bottles. Anti-colic bottles have various mechanisms that prevent the baby from swallowing air.

The Avent Airflex bottle nipple is a natural way to feed a baby. It makes switching between breast and bottle feeding easier. Some bottle nipples teach the baby to feed in a way that makes breast feeding harder. Airflex nipples are also clinically proven to reduce colic.

We used Avent bottles with our baby and had no problems with colic. I was very satisfied with the bottles, they were quality equipment. The nipples will break, eventually, that's the way with soft plastic products, but replacing the nipples was necessary anyway, as our baby grew and we switched to nipples with faster flow. The bottles are still in excellent condition and waiting for our second child - we'll just buy another set of nipples for the bottles and we're ready to go.
