Franklin Mint creates beautiful editions of popular board games, both traditional games like Chess, Backgammon, Dominoes or Checkers, but also proprietary games like Monopoly.

Franklin Mint Monopoly

The Franklin Mint Monopoly game is a great example of this. The game is a replica of the 1935 Monopoly, but with plenty of embellishment. The houses and hotels are diecast from silver and gold, and the board is made of beautiful hardwood. It is a really gorgeous item. There are plenty of Monopoly sets available in eBay, but also individual gold hotels and silver houses.

Franklin Mint Civil War Chess

There are also several really fine Chess sets made by Franklin Mint. One of their most popular products is the Civil War Chess set, with American Civil War characters as pieces. These sets are generally quite affordable, as the pieces are made of pewter. These are a must for every Civil War buff looking for a Chess set.

Franklin Mint also produces several other Chess sets. I've seen a beautiful Revolutionary War Chess Set, there are pieces from a 3D Star Trek Chess set and so on.
